Congregations in Los Angeles and Santa Barbara county are merging and KHs being put on the market. This follows a past decade of long standing assembly hall locations also being liquidated and rented facilities being used in their place. -

Something to consider is the new direction to consolidate bodies in fewer buildings and sell off buildings. That may result in congregations being deleted but body count will remain. -

There are hugely conflicting stories about Mormon growth to be found on the internet. One point they seem to agree upon is that despite the addition of missionaries (lowered age to 18 and included women) the growth has not reflected the extra effort. The JWs could have told them that. -

If sexual discrimination is enforced on all religions, it will be far more than JW and LDS affected. James White has predicted within 5 years religions that do not accommodate will lose their tax status. There will be a cover charge at the doors of churches and the masses will thin out drastically. Oddly, he looks forward to it. -

Jehovah's Witnesses disfellowship 60,000 members per year. That's 1,150 per week. I imagine many of them are simply "walking away". Maybe if they coordinated their efforts they could get a media release too. -
